WEST (Weinstein Enhanced Sensory Test) Foot Monofilaments Tactile Sensitivity Evaluator
This WEST monofilament test includes five monofilaments that are used to test tactile sensitivity in a subject's foot. The five monofilaments included with this device are calibrated to the following forces:
- 0.5 grams
- 2.0 grams
- 10.0 grams
- 50.0 grams
- 200.0 grams
The Weinstein Enhanced Sensory Test is an improved version of the Semmes-Weinstein monofilaments. It uses five monofilaments to measure skin sensitivity and determine peripheral nerve activity. This monofilament testing device is designed to be reused. Two or more filaments can be in position for testing.
This item includes a protective case for storing the WEST foot monofilament test when not in use. It also includes a form for recording test results and a user manual.
