Patient Lift & Stand Assists

A patient lift is designed to support the full weight of the patient during transfers, are specifically used for non-weight-bearing patients, patient is lifted by means of a sling, and they may be manual and electric powered. Often times a patient lift will include an angled lift bar over the center of the bed. A stand assist lift is designed to be used by patients who are partially weight bearing by features that allow the patient to pull themselves up into a standing position. They may or may not include a sling, and typically feature a footplate and a padded knee cushion to support the patient during transfer.
