Devices designed to provide buoyance while engaging in pool therapy or simply as a flotation device for pool and water-based activities
These different aquatic devices, all of which provide buoyance, can be used for therapeutic exercise using water as the resistance for either cardiorespiratory or resistance training stimulus. The unique benefit of these devices is that they allow the individual to continue swimming or playing in the water by reducing the physiological stress producing fatigue that would normally shorten the exercise.
