Human Leg Models
Anatomical models of the leg or lower extremity – for teaching, training, demonstration and understanding of the leg for use in medical, healthcare, and educational settings
The human leg or lower extremity is a highly functional component of the human body that must carry the entire body weight and provide for locomotion. Comprised of the hip joint, knee joint, ankle joint, and foot, the human leg is built strong and capable of transporting the body.
The shoulder joint is an enarthrodial joint and capable of movement in 3 planes of motion for greater mobility. The hip joint is an enarthrodial joint, capable of movement three planes of motion. The knee joint is a combination of a ginglymus and arthrodial joint. The ankle joint is a ginglymus joint allowing movement in one plane of motion, and the subtalar joint allows movement in one plane of motion. At the end of the leg, and included as a component of the leg, is the foot with all its unique weight bearing and locomotion capabilities. Our 3D Scientific arm models with 3D Smart Anatomy and removable muscles, allows students to dive into learning the orientation and structure of the leg for a greater understanding of the workings of the lower extremity.
