Basic Life Support (BLS)
Manikins for BLS Training of First Responders, Healthcare Professionals, and Public Safety Professionals
Basic life support combines the skills of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), obstructed airway removal, and automated external defibrillator (AED) application to treat individuals experiencing respiratory obstruction and distress, and cardiac arrest.
Because these conditions can occur at any age, BLS training involves infant, child, and adult manikins to teach hands-on skills. Made to look life-like and designed to provide feedback on the level of performance given, BLS manikins allow individuals to practice chest compressions to deliver sufficient blood to vital organs and rescue breaths to deliver sufficient oxygen to help maintain the viability of the victim until advanced medical care arrives. Manikins also serve to help BLS students to identify and properly apply AED pads to the body to deliver electric shock in the treatment of victims whose vital life functions has become compromised and is experiencing cardiac arrest.
CPR simulators are designed to be durable and to provide different types of direct feedback to the student.
ProHealthcareProducts.com offers light and dark manikins for BLS training.
